Our main function is to preserve, run and maintain a number of the palaces/castles, gardens and other cultural properties of the Danish State, and to optimize their use. In addition we are to develop and standardize the operation and maintenance of other cultural properties within the remit of the Ministry of Culture. In this way we ensure efficient management of the proper¬ties of the Ministry of Culture and create better opportunities for the cultural institutions to concentrate their energy on addressing the core issues.
We further work to introduce economies of scale and efficiency by means of new methods and greater volumes in the procurement of services and materials in the construction area.
We focus systematically on the generation of more external revenues in the cultural area, for example through increased use of cultural properties in development projects funded by sponsorships and partnerships.
